Started to work on another NSX.
The service menu is the Engine Refresh Stage 1, Right drive shaft and
complete Cooling system overhaul.
In order to understand the level of service required, decided to carry out
the pre-inspection today.

Although the owner kept his NSX in beautiful condition, by the time when
he arrived at my place, it was covered in sand/dirt as he drove through
the wet conditions.

So, first thing first, washed the car to prevent any scratches to the paint.

The owner wanted to know how to replace the light bulb for the fog light.

Just remove the short 10mm bolt.

At the side of Fog light housing, there is a small tab inserted to the slit at the bumper.
Just pull it out.

Carefully remove the rubber cap and you can access the H3 bulb there.
I could replace the bulb for the owner so will check with him later.

Showed the owner that his ABS reservoir was nearly empty even after
I flushed it last year.
This NSX was suffering from the ABS clicking issue whenever the car
was about to stop due to the noise in the signal from the wheel speed
sensor that can’t be detected by the classic ABS brain.

With the classic system, there is no way to tell which sensor signal is
noisy unless you can monitor the actual sensor signal on the oscilloscope.

At the end, the owner replaced both Front wheel speed sensors at
different timing and this seemed to fix the issue.
However, by the time he replaced the sensors, it was too late and
managed to aerate the ABS fluid, overflew from the cap resulting in
low fluid level.

In order to check the ABS condition, decided to carry out the initial
test driving session as the owner also mentioned about the squeaking
noise from the brake.

Good news is, there is no more clicking that I experienced when this NSX
was at my place last time and the ABS itself was still working when it
should be.

So, if the owner wants, I can flush the system again to get rid of the
air but with the classic ABS, you never know what will fail next.

Probably the accumulator next….

The squeaking noise….. Yes, you are right…. It was awful……
Brake temperature was fine and although there was no significant drag at
each corner, the pads were making really loud squeaking noise at low speed.

Not sure what kind of pads the owner is using as it looked to be painted…..

Also, not sure when was the last time these callipers were overhauled but
possibly, some of the pistons were not moving smoothly.

Hope the owner will consider the calliper overhaul in the near future.
