Eng Fire Up

Rate this Entry

After spending some time on how to fire up the engine under current condition,
re-connected the O2 sensor and started the preparation for the fire up.

While trying to re-install the battery, found lots of packing foam under it.
This is the cat sand like material covering the entire battery when you buy
the new one.
The battery case was in the wrong orientation and the fixing bracket was
not installed properly. Will wash the battery case and install it properly.

As expected, after reconnecting the battery, the alarm siren was triggered
and made loud sound for a short period. Was already wearing the ear plugs
so not an issue for me.

Fired up and warmed up the engine for a while.
After blipping the engine several times, I’m glad to say that the Front Primary O2 sensor is
healthy and not causing any errors at this stage.
Will need to carry out the test driving session to be sure.

As I’ll be disconnecting the battery again, I’ll need to reset the ECU one more time
to re-learn all of the study value inside the ECU.

While warming up the engine, replaced the engine hatch glass dampers.
You can re-charge the gas if you are working on your own NSX.

Won't be able to complete the engine bay until I install the header heat sheild.

Then, I can finally loosen all four Eng/MT mounts and re-torque them in the specific order since I have removed the Front mount this time.
