SRS Warning Light 04

Rate this Entry

Started to re-install the SRS controller back in the cabin.

The controller metal box acts as the case GND so you must make sure to
create good contact to the chassis frame.

Used sand paper to remove any surface film or contamination from
the existing mating surface and used Honda bond on the fixing bolts before
the installation.

Once all the SRS related parts/connections were restored,
connected the battery and turned the key to IG1.

The moment of truth.

After about 5sec, the SRS light went away so the issues were solved.

Time to put everything back in place.
There were so many extra wires running inside the car (security system??) so
tidied them up while putting back all the carpet, panels, etc back in place.

Applied silicone grease to the shift mechanism as it was not smooth while in there.

Before placing back the centre console,
the owner wanted to have the cabin temperature sensor cleaned so
done that as well.

It was making lots of noise due to the debris trapped inside the spindle shaft.

As I disconnected so many things, checked the switches and
components after they were re-installed.
The fog, rear fog, headlight adjuster, headlight washer, audio head unit,
A/C CCU, TCS switch, etc.

Started the engine and all the lights except for the parking brake were gone so
happy with the result.

It was a time consuming process but well worth it for
both the owner and myself.

Now just need to carry out the test driving session to double check
everything including the CL Hyd System.

Then, wash the car, create Photo CD and Service Log Sheet......

Nearly there......
