Based on the available time for the day and the weather forecast for tomorrow, decided to work on the Front Valve Cover first and at the end, it was the right decision as I had to spend extra time for cleaning the excessive liquid gasket residue.

While working in the engine bay, noticed that one of the hose clip was not installed properly so put it back in its original position.

As always, the ENG GND cable was not treated carefully in the past….

As the blowby gas passage was modified on the later models, the Front bank was very clean.

Looks like excessive amount of liquid gasket was used during the last TB service.
Although the gasket, seal, rubber washer were fairly new, I don’t think I can reuse this cover gasket… Replaced with a new one.

Spent ages cleaning the #1 and #4 cam holders until I was satisfied with the condition due to lots and lots of liquid gasket residue.
Looked as if they were not cleaned during the last TB service as there were two different types found.

Cleaned and degreased to this level in preparation for the new gasket installation.
