The heater core bleeder pipe was kinked and looked to be slowly leaking from around the bleeder plug.

It was super tight so I had to apply heat to loosen it and then found the reason for the kink as well as the leakage.

There were so much corrosion inside the bleeder plug as well as inside the fitting that people just kept over tightening it to stop the slow leakage.

As the result, the base of the bleeder plug as well as mating surface of the fitting inside the pipe got deformed and made the situation even worth.

As there was slow leakage, the coolant was exposed to the atmosphere resulting in even more build up of limestone like debris inside the fitting.

Another reason why it is important to use the correct concentration on the coolant and also to follow the recommended service interval.

I’m quite sure if I carry out the vacuum leak check during the WP service, I will see slow leakage and thus, I can’t re-use this pipe and bleeder plug.

It’s about JPY3,000 in total for these so placed an order to Japan and I hope they will arrive very soon.

Apart form this pipe and two hoses at both end of it, the installation of cooling system parts at the front compartment is done.
