Another owner visited my place to have his NSX serviced.

I carried out the Health Check on this NSX last year and the owner wanted to address most of the high priority items together with another Health Check session.

I’ll be carrying out TB/WP/Valve Clearance service, full cooling system refurbishment, brake overhaul, etc.

It’s going to be very busy schedule for several weeks again…

So, before start removing the parts, inspected the current condition to estimate the level of service required.

Not easy to see from these photos due to the light condition but there were lots of dust sitting on the engine bay as well as the front compartment so I’ll be washing them.

I don’t want to see even a tiny dust getting inside the engine while the valve covers are off.

The radiator is showing the age.

There are lots of sign of seepage around the top and bottom crimped area where the plastic and aluminium parts meet.

As mentioned many times, the OEM radiator is a consumable part and sooner or later, it will fail.

For the time being, this radiator will be re-used but at some point in the future, please have this replaced.

Ideally, you want to use all aluminium radiator to eliminate the crack at the plastic section like other members experienced with the OEM one.

In preparation for the compression check, removed the air filter box and encountered the first issue.

Some of the fixing screws were heavily rusted and didn’t want to come out.

Because the screws were sticking out slightly when the cover was placed, it was not tighten enough.

Had to punch it out together with the metal sleeve and placed them back with the anti-vibration glue.

Once again, the air filter was super dirty but it was due for service any way so not a big problem.

Just waiting for the delivery of the new air filter as I had to use the one assigned for this NSX for another owner last week.
