ABS Upgrade 01 - A/C Blower motor

Rate this Entry
Had to focus on other projects recently so couldn’t spend much time on this NSX but I’m back now.

But, first thing first, I wanted to wash my NSX because of the recent snowy weather and so much gritting on the road that it looked like white/grey car than a red one.

Once all the salt were washed away from the suspension and under body area, I’m happy for the time being until I repeat the process again next weekend.

In order to replace the brake pipes for ABS upgrade, we must first remove the battery and the A/C blower motor.

Battery holder bracket was in the wrong orientation but not a big problem as the battery size was small.

However, when I tried to attach the 10mm socket to the lower bolts holding the blower motor, it didn’t fit so raised the lift to check them from the underneath and found this.

They were completely corroded.

Here comes the nice extractor that I bought many years ago while I was working in US.

Thank you Craftsman for providing the reasonable price tools.

I’m glad both bolts came off without stripping them.

The brackets holding the brake/clutch pipes were also rusty so these will be replaced with the new ones.
