It’s not accurate but just my standard way of getting some idea on the actual battery capacity by charging my mobile phone.

Mine is rated at 4,170 – 4,300mAh battery capacity and I normally start charging when it’s at about 15 - 20%.

Many phone models have the option to stop the charging before full such as at 80% but I just go all the way to 100%.

My mobile phone is few years old so no longer has the full capacity but still, this GT4000 managed to charge it 5 cycles.

Each cycle will consume just below 20% of GT4000 battery.


Just about the end of 5th charging cycle, the display on the GT4000 was showing 15% and started flashing.

Probably some sort of low voltage protection kicked in or just warning the user not to keep it at low charge.

The mobile phone was at 93% and still charging so if I left it, probably completed the full charge but no point in potentially damaging the new product so stopped there.

Still, happy with the battery capacity of GT4000.


Will see how many years it will survive.
