Finally, Japan lifted all of the restrictions over the pandemic last Monday.
For someone contributed majority of one’s time on the analysis and simulation for the authorities, it was a big milestone.

Still, it highlighted the pros and cons of medical/health system in Japan.

Personally, I don’t think the government learnt the lesson from other countries and if similar thing happens again, the system won’t be ready.
In fact, it was the individual people who contributed the most on preventing the virus from spreading within Japan and not the government system.

Over the last 3 years, I spent much of my time on electronics service as it felt much safer and also the demands were very high due to the age of our NSX.

On the other hand, I lost delicate finger touch required for some of the most time consuming tasks on the mechanical services.

So had to spend much more time than expected on training myself back to where I wanted to.

Will post the immediate future service plan very soon.

Speaking of electronics, I got this new jump starter Gooloo GT4000 last year.

I was looking for the replacement for quite some time as my previous one got so old and started to show the sign of defect.

I was comparing Noco and Gooloo as the candidate.

During one S2000 event, I had the opportunity to check on the Noco product by myself and it felt really robust construction and good performance.

However, it was one of the most expensive option.

From what I can see, looks like Noco is using good quality battery and bit of extra capacity inside.

Therefore, if you need to jump start many cars regularly within short interval (like running car dealership, big garage, etc),
I think it’s worth the extra price tag and thus, Noco seems to be a very good choice.

For me, it’s mainly for emergency use and ‘just in case’ purpose.

Also, it will be replaced after several years so no need the extra cost.

I actually used all of my jump starters for rescuing other people and not for my cars.

Although the previous one – Powerall Power bank PBJS12000R was still working fine, it was 12 years old last year and also noticed small amount of swell with the external case a while ago.

Because of this, quite worried about keeping it on the car.

It still works because I helped one BMW owner who couldn’t start the engine using his own jump starter pack due to low voltage protection.

Just not comfortable carrying a product based on lithium ion battery that already started showing swelling body.
