Hope everyone is having peaceful time.

After 6 months, finally my boss flew back to UK so I can spend bit more time on here.

Based on the side effects experienced over the last 3 jabs, waited for her return before taking the flu jab and the autumn booster.
Struggled to use the keyboard for a week as every single joints hurt but now recovered.

Since 2020, with traveling restriction by Japanese government, not much point flying out there so changed and cancelled many occasions.

When they relaxed the restriction a bit in June, managed to send my wife out there for the first time in 2.5 years.
However, thinking back, both of us are not sure it was the best timing after all.

Within few weeks of her arrival to Japan, another wave of covid hit and everytime when someone in her family caught the virus, had to move her to the hotel for protection.
In total, she ended up at the hotel for few weeks during her stay.

I was hoping to catching up with her in Japan even for a week but couldn’t make it due to huge delay in mechanical services and also my parents were not ready to meet anyone yet.

Due to what happened with my brother in 2020, I think all of my families got too scared about this virus including myself.
He went into ICU for weeks but no one was allowed to visit him for the obvious reason.
Thankfully, he fully recovered but working from home since then.

At the end, my wife couldn’t visit my parents during her 6 months stay.

For me, haven’t been to Japan for 8 years now….

After all these difficult times, through my connection, learnt a lot about this virus and finally, aiming to be back to some normality so for the first time in 3 years, we’ll be visiting the next door neighbour this Christmas to spend some time together.
Every year, we used to have lots of fun throughout the year before the pandemic.

Looking forward to visiting our favourite restaurants in the New Year as well.

Currently, Japan is going through the huge spike of covid cases and UK is showing sharp rise for flu, covid and covid like chest infection.

Keep warm and stay safe.

Hope to catching up with many of you in the coming season.

    Dear Kaz,

Despite the hardship during the last years, let me say thank you very much for all your support. The worldwide NSX community gave me stability when everything else was falling apart (including some additional family topics). Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

    All the best from Germany
