Bose Speaker AMP Service 01

Rate this Entry

From time to time, I get requests from outside UK for A/C CCU and Bose AMP services.

Also, I was asked from many potential owners as well as existing ones to carry out ‘pre-purchase inspection’ or even ‘servicing’ their NSX in their countries.

So far, I have politely declined all of the pre-purchase inspection requests as I made my own policy before exposing some of my background on the web and also I would like to be fair with the seller as well as the buyer.

For the servicing requests, unfortunately, I just don't have enough time and also I prefer working in my 'atelier' with my 'tools'.

This time, one of the owner requested me to service his Bose speaker AMPs.

Unfortunately, the person who removed the speakers for this owner didn’t have time to take the AMPs out so three big speaker boxes travelled long way to UK.

It seemed that it was sent out in a hurry....

There was not enough protection materials inside the package and thus, some of the speaker box fixing tabs were broken or damaged.

It could have been damaged prior to the delivery but just in case, took several photos before opening them.

Also, the top section of foot well bass speaker seemed to have been in contact with the moisture as one of the fixing screw was rusty.

On several NSX, I found so many strange things inside this foot well speaker box….

Because the dome opening is facing upwards, anything can drop into there quite easily…
