Finally managed to find some time updating the blog.
This one was from early August so quite a bit of catch up.

Considering the covid situation in Japan since the beginning of July, I was not sure that I could make it until just before the event.

At that time, already back to only 4Hr sleeping every day due to my boss finally made the visit to Japan and within 3 weeks, majority of her family started showing the covid symptom.

Had to make all sorts of arrangements for her and family as Japan was and still is keeping strict rule around the covid.

The situation improved a lot recently but still at fairly high infection rate.
Quite disappointed with the Japanese government for not learning from other countries and be prepared for the predicted current situation.
Good to see some relaxation on the travelling restriction when the dominant variant within the country is the same as the majority of other countries.

UK has relaxed so much that probably I'm the last people still wearing the face mask for indoor setting and keeping some level of social distancing for both the indoor/outdoor.
Just recently, the infection rate and the hospitalisation in UK are on the rise again.
Will keep close eye on the data.

With so many things to be sorted and uncertainty of situation in Japan, it was just impossible to book for the Silverstone Classic (SSC) this year even
after the organiser extended the sale of the ticket for the car club package until the end of June.

Being as the member of UK S2000 Owners Club, I was hoping to join them for the SSC as I love watching the classic racing series especially the classic F1.
For some reason, the event organiser moved the date to late August and that didn't help at all.
Used to be always towards the end of July.

Watched some of the coverage over the youtube channel and looked fantastic.
Through FB page, the S2000 club stand was fabulous.
Hope I can make it next year but once again, it's scheduled for the end of August.

Still, I have plenty of time for planning and just hope there will be no uncertainty around spring time when normally the ticket sale ends.

So, after all these, I was so happy to be able to visit the Beaulieu event as I needed big change in the rhythm of the life.

Only booked for Sunday and the display area was next to the supercar driver's marquee.
It was also next to the demonstration run area so inevitably, lots of spectators and the grass being so dry,
it got very dusty and had to clean the car several times during the day.

It's September now and turned on the central heating just for the morning for the first time this week.
Yet, can't believe we had that scorching hot heatwave just last month.
I was OK during the day with the mobile A/C but one night, I got too dehydrated while sleeping and had to take rest for a few days as I nearly fainted and hit my shoulder.

The 1st heatwave hit us in July and it was just so dry this summer.

The comparison of the same location between 2021 and 2022.

Thank you to the medics in their heavy gear looking after all sorts of people.

It was another hot day so busy one for them.

Always attracts lots of people with the Ayrton's autograph and the 'Banco Nacional' cap handed while in Brazil.
