Parts delivery from Japan

Japan Post has just announced that due to the current situation, they have stopped accepting any airmail, EMS, etc with the delivery address to many European countries including UK.

In preparation for the future service, I sent out several packages last week but held at the airport in Tokyo for many days and just being notified that these will be returned to the sender.

Quite big headache but understandable as apparently, even an airmail letters are being sent back to the sender.

Japan Post uses two major Japanese airlines for their UK deliveries and during this pandemic, I saw them using Lufthansa to reduce the delay by sending the package through Germany and then to UK.

While Japan Air Line (JAL) is still operating several European routes with significantly reduced number of flights or taking different route, the All Nippon Airway (ANA) that is the major player in operating the cargo flights to/from Japan has cancelled all UK flights until at least some point next week and the very limited flights for other European destinations.

This is very likely to be the reason on why the decision made by the Japan Post this time.

Lufthansa is still operating some flights to/from Japan to Germany but taking lots of extra hours due to changes in route.

Hope they will find alternative method in the near future.

If you are placing parts order to Japan, please check the delivery method.

Oh, and one more thing.

Honda Japan announced that they will be revising the parts price for old models on average of 2.63% increase.

Hope NSX parts price won't be affected too much this time as it was a steep increase last time.

Some parts went up more than 300% at that time.
