Another catch up updating the blog.
Local mini meet at Delapre Abbey, Northans on the 12th (Sun).
Thank you to sorepaws for introducing this event.
I was invited to another event from my friend who is part of the event organiser team but didn't feel comfortable with the potentially too much crowded setting.
So, gently declined the invitation but then found this one.
More than 20 years ago, I used to drive pass this area every morning on the way to Cosworth so I knew it was a big place but didn't know the extent.
Just for the day, clocked up well over 10,000 steps for walking around the area, looking at other cars, relaxing during the lunch time, etc.
Majority of the visitors were from the local area so people just joining the event while taking a walk with the family or walking their dog.
It got quite busy in the afternoon but with very limited number of show cars allowed and such an open field, lots of social distancing so happy with the setup.
As always, so many questions and many mentioned that they knew NSX but first time to actually see it for real and even two at the same time.
Although I was prepared for the rain, the weather was kind to us so no drama, unlike the other event I attended the following week.
My boss also fully enjoyed the day that is one of the most important thing.
Since this pandemic, can't remember how many times we visited the National Trust sites as we just kept visiting and walking almost every Sunday.
The Delapre Abbey is not part of the National Trust but the ground is open to public and free parking so looking forward to making many visits in the future.
Don’t know how many of you are National Trust member but may consider holding small meeting at one of the site when this strange situation is over.
Several years ago, saw MX-5, BMW, etc doing meeting at the Waddesdon Manor so that's one possibility.
Looking forward to attending this event again next year.
