Through 2020 and until now, was looking for my rear tyre set as it was sort of getting close to the limit.

However, probably the same for everyone under current situation that I just didn't cover much mileage since the beginning of 2020 and thus, not that desperate replacing the tyre.

Unfortunately, not been to any of the restaurants for 18 months now and not even on the motorway for the same duration.

Still, the tyre price went up and down while keeping eye on the market.

With the summer approaching and possibility of bit more relaxation of the restriction next month, it could lead to increase in tyre demands so decided to replace it now before it gets backordered.

I know AD08 series would take few months for the delivery once it gets out of stock although under current situation, very unlikely.

Based on the feedback on NSX Prime, I was looking for the Continental ExtremeContact Sport but it looked like not available in the European market and not cost effective importing it from US.

Once again, thank you to Jon at The Tyre Changers - mobile tyre fitting.

The ex-tyre engineer at the well known tyre manufactures and then became the F1 team colleague.

Under current pandemic condition, didn't want waiting inside the tiny waiting room of the tyre shop or not ideal waiting outside during the recent thunderstorm so no brainer to go with the mobile tyre fitting service.

As expected, the torrential heavy rain on the day so in order to save his time, removed both wheels while waiting for his arrival.

And new boots fitted.

Not covered enough mileage yet as I'm not driving every day these days.

Even after having the 2 doses of the vaccine, still doing just one big shopping per week but even so, you would notice the big difference of AD08RS immediately compared to the AD08 or the AD08R.

Exactly the same feeling when I first installed the AD08RS at the front earlier last year.

Almost feels as if some chemical still seeping out from inside that the car just wants to go somewhere.

Similar to the GY GSD3.

Not sure its related to the chemical compound change but feels much more harder even at the tread surface and larger window for the tyre pressure to play with.

I normally start with the much lower pressure for the brand new tyre so hope I can find the sweetspot for my taste.

Earlier this year, decided not to attend Silverstone Classic for the first time in many years (2020 was no option - canceled) as I was just not comfortable with the setup considering the pandemic.

Hope I can attend at least a few events with outdoor setting this year so that I can be finally back on the motorway.
