The water passage with thermostat housing was also corroded.

It also chewed into the housing cover.

Although test fitting with the new thermostat o-ring was fine, going to fill the area with the liquid gasket as a pre-caution.

Cleaned the cover briefly.











No wonder why it took ages to warm up the engine.

As seen on many NSX, the rubber seal was gone and even partially stuck open.














The housing cleaned to create oil/debris free surface, new thermostat installed and the cover with tiny amount of liquid gasket back in place.
