While in there, cleaned the area behind the oil cooler and crank pulley.

However, the main cause of the oil seepage is from the head cover gasket area so hope I can carry out the Eng Refresh on this engine in the future.

Interestingly, it had TB service in the past but still using the original design WP and the TB lower cover.







I didn't feel comfortable polishing the water passage pipes any further so stopped here.






Smoothed out the heavily marked pipe necks to this level.








The ceramic scraper to the rescue. Happy with the contact surface for the rubber gasket at the thermostat housing.
