Normally, the seeped oil will mix with road film, debris, etc and form thick dump layer of sticky gunk behind the crank pulley area.

However, with this NSX, it was very wet and sticky oil gunk....

Another extra time as this is going to take some time for cleaning as it won't come off with ease….

Oil cooler hat looked rusty but still not peeling off in multiple layers so for now, going to re-use it.

Will apply high temperature spec grease on top but avoiding the rubber hose area.

Having lots of fun dealing with these two bolts.

So rusty and already partially rounded.

Took some time but finally they came off.

The orange liquid gasket.

Not sure why it has to be used on here….

No oil seal required at this edge so probably someone struggled to place the valve cover back in place and accidentally touched the pre-applied area especially with the LEV model.

Vacuumed as much debris as possible but there are still some left overs like in the photo…..

I hate using the compressed air for blowing them away because once done, the tiny invisible dust will remain in the air for hours.

It slows me down as I won't be able to open the Eng until the air inside the garage settles and the floor washed.

I don't even allow the garage door opened during the hot summer for dust prevention.

May be too cautious but that's my own policy as I used to have access to clean air room.

Another NSX with excessive amount of liquid gasket….

Should have been like this (from another engine).
