Preparing for the cam shafts installation.

New o-ring under #1 cam holder.















No time taking photo when dealing with the liquid gasket and torqueing all bolts in three rounds in short time so just the end result.










The black cam disc under #4 holder should look like this.
No eyesore excessive liquid gasket residue please….














Double checking the seating depth of the brown cam end seal.
I made mistake in the past causing oil leakage so paying extra attention.

These covers looked to be treated with some sort of detailing or coating chemical in the past but it all turned into hard dark brown material so removed as much as possible without damaging the original factory wrinkle coating.

If doing properly, should strip off the original coating and start with bare magnesium surface.












Normally, two coats are enough but applied extra coats due to not being able to remove all the chemicals.

Still wet so looks shiny finish but once cured, it will look matt hammered finish.
