These are old spec TB front/rear covers.

Honda changed the design due to scratching noise generated on some of the eng.

Will replace both to the later design spec.

The TB tensioner adjuster bolt.

It's been a while since last time I struggled so much removing it.
Corroded, rounded and seized.
Must have been tightened with huge torque.

At the end, had to use nut extractor to loosen it.

TB belt tension was surprisingly good but that meant it was probably way too tight at the last TB service.

Checking the existing valve clearance at each cyl before backing off the adjuster in preparation for cam shaft removal.

They were all over the place and out of spec but by not far.

CRK/CYL sensor just about exposed.
While melted potting happens on almost all eng and very rare for the actual sensor to fail, already several failure reported in Japan.

Honda did change the spec after the one used on early year models.

Going to replace it this time.
