Quite normal to see all these rust immediately after washing the disc.
In fact, if you don't see it, you haven't washed it properly.
If you ignore it, you will pay the price later.....
The manual tells you to cut the shield and while you can do so, for the front, if you remove the hub/bearing assy, you can keep the original sheild if going back to OEM.
