Finally, the engine cleaning process is almost done.


Not much photos for the day as my hands were covered in chemical, old engine oil and so on that I didn’t want to touch my camera.

Cleaned the front and rear cyl head as much as possible before the re-assembly process to create oil free surface.

The mating surface to the cam holders were cleaned to this level by removing the old liquid gasket and then degreased.

Cam holders and plates were washed and old liquid gaskets removed.


They are waiting for the 2nd wash before the air blow dry and for checking of the oil jet passage.


Then, the bolt thread will be coated by the engine oil just before the installation of the camshaft.




Time for the installation of new TB.


I’m afraid, you won’t see much photos again during this process as I only have few minutes before the liquid gasket starts to cure so no time for the photos.
