While removing the Eng oil cooler, noticed that one of the two coolant hoses was already deformed and fattening.
Sooner or later, it would have busted so glad that we decided to replace all of the coolant hoses this time.
As seen on other NSX, upper two bolts on the oil cooler didn’t have enough sealant.
Looks like it was not reapplied during the last TB service.
Will apply liquid gasket during the installation process.
Valve covers removed.
As seen on all other NSX, the rear bank cover was showing the trace of water sitting under the IGN coil cover due to the seal not treated or replaced for a long time.
Another MUST item to be replaced during my TB service.
Looks like both valve covers were never washed in the past.
The sticky oil mist from the blowby gas built up behind the covers.
This NSX has the original head cover design so the front bank cover will show more dirt than the rear one.
Won’t be surprised with the dirty valve covers as the TH body was also in the similar situation as above.
Again, not cleaned for many years and the black gunk from the blowby just built up behind the TH butterfly as well as at the edge of butterfly.
The EACV port will be in similar condition and thus, causing unstable idle rpm.
It was also bit sticky/heavy to open the TH.
Will be washed as much as possible during the TH butterfly service.
