Eng Refresh, Cooling Sys, etc 01

Have been servicing another NSX for about 2 weeks now under emergency case.

The main concern was the cooling system but considering other factors, made sense to carry out the Eng Refresh at the same time.

As this is the first time working on this NSX, started with the Health Check with general checkup first in preparation for the test driving session.

And immediately encountered with several issues….

Another NSX with Fuel Pump resistor issue.
Under normal situation, you won't notice it but based on the past experience, I always check it.

If part of the wire getting really solid, chances are, it's already failing.

As seen on other NSX, the wire exit was already showing the sign of rust and by gently wiggling the wire exit,
the engine stumbled a little but kept running fine if you just leave it as it is.

Typical sign of partial wire breakage.

Later, when I checked the wire exit, it confirmed that the moisture got inside and travelled through the wire sleeve resulting in patina corrosion making the wire very stiff.

Then, when someone checked the oil level or worked inside the eng bay, it bent the wire exit causing wire breakage.

Contacted Honda Japan but being told that it was on back order.

It's over-spec and costs more but decided to use my own parts to create the replacement resistor unit without charging any extra to the owner.

I better build another one using the same material as it's so much better than the original.

The owner replaced the header tank in the past but kept the original cap.

To be replaced with the new cap.
