Cooling System 01

Rate this Entry

What a long day….

I found myself sleeping on the floor as I was so tired....

Spent hours cleaning so many corroded pipes on the cooling system.

As always, photo doesn’t show you the full extent of the time consuming task of replacing all 23 hoses on NA1, MT, RHD, non-DBW model….

Normally, I find several corroded pipes during the hose replacement service but it’s been a while since last time I spent so many hours just for cleaning the pipes.

When this NSX arrived at my place, the coolant level was just below MIN.

During the Health Check Service, I noticed that it was leaking from the radiator drain plug.

While cleaning the pipes, there was another sign of leakage at the heater core bleeder cap and pipe so replaced the rubber cap and polished the pipe as much as possible.

After cleaning some of the pipes, the three hoses at the centre floor area were installed.
