Final Touch

With black cloud above the area, didn't want ending up driving the car in the wet condition so decided to wash the car first.

SRS unit aligned to my best although there is a specific procedure to follow so not much I can do.

Went out for the final test driving session and checked the clearance between the tyre and spring perch at the RL corner before placing the car back on the lift.

Re-torqued the wheel nut but not enough mileage covered so please check it again after covering about 100miles.

As I'm quite sure I rubbed the marking with my glove to leave different markings but it's now gone so I think the inside shoulder is touching the spring perch
when RL corner is significantly loaded, like when going through the roundabout with speed.

Please take extra caution about this.

Briefed the owner on how I felt during the final test driving session compared to the time when this NSX first arrived at my place.

Due to crank shaft still out of the sync against the cam shafts, it still lacks the power but it's more like parking brake not released or something blocking the exh flow
and not like misfiring the hesitation.

Brake just doesn't slow down the car enough and you will understand why if you look at the disc after driving the car.....

Back on the lift for final inspection.

So, something only planned for 10 - 14days emergency service turned into 60days marathon servicing with lots of Sunday involved but finally, ready to be returned to the owner.

Once TB/WP service is done, the crank shaft should be back to the correct timing and when the melted CAT is sorted, should be able to recover the proper power for 3.2L engine.

Thank you for using my service and will keep in touch.

Time for the MOT on MX-5 and next NSX servicing from Friday….

Helping two Honda garages in parallel as well......
