Wrong spark plug terminal design and clearly, the rear bank IG coils were submerged in the water paddle for quite some time as the white marking matches the angle of tilted engine.

The plug gasket material was also wrong.

Many Honda cars uses SUS and with Denso plug of this type, you need the 'G' model no. when selecting the plug.


Some of the S2000 was re-called by Honda in Japan because of this.

The plug got so loose that it destroyed the IG coil and stranded.



#1 and 2 cyl spark plug.

Mixture of wet stain and dry carbon so it's unburnt wet fuel stain plus the carbon due to lack of oxygen.

Not sure which one was first causing the other but it's the mixture of misfire and hesitation.


No wonder why I felt so slow this engine was for NA2 spec.
