I wanted to return this NSX to the owner last Thursday and that was the convenient timing for the owner considering his plan for this week.

I also had very important appointment on Friday for attending the funeral of the one of close family friend.
Been very emotional and difficult time for me over the last 3 weeks.
Placed the highest priority for supporting the family.

And just I thought I can return this NSX in time, found big issue…..

The famous VVIS plate screw…..

Both screws were completely backed off and the plate was already dropped somewhere in the bottom chamber of the intake manifold.

For both screws to back off completely, it will take years/miles so once again, as mentioned many times, please check them once a year on our NSX.
No need starting the engine.
Just operate the VVIS with your hand and look inside the manifold through the TH body.
With DBW, just keep IGSW in P2 and hold the TH pedal WOT.

Tried using magnet to recover one of the screw but looks like it's not Fe material and didn't stick to the magnet. Also, couldn't see the other screw or the missing plate.
Probably they are somewhere else and or submerged in the oil.

I just hope the other screw was not sucked into the cyl yet although the compression data showed no bent valve.

Should have spotted at much earlier stage but as I was going to remove the TH body any way and due to other issues on this NSX, focused too much on that side and didn't check it until the very last moment….

Checked the parts availability back in Japan and Honda Japan has all of the parts except for one of the VVIS gasket. It was back ordered until around 25th.

As in this urgently required parts 'Wanted' thread; http://www.nsxcb.co.uk/showthread.ph...ently-required ,
big thank you to Mike at R-Motion.

He helped me a lot in minimising the delay.

The rest of the parts should be leaving Japan shortly so once all parts has left Japan, will start removing the intake manifold.
