Before pouring the brake fluid, tested the entire system by carrying out the error code clear procedure.

With the latest ABS, you can no longer erase the memory by pulling the fuse, disconnecting the battery or removing the connector from the controller.

The only way is to use the combination of brake pedal switch, IG SW and dedicated ABS only SCS terminal at specific sequences.

Operated fine, bench bled the BR master cyl and time for the 1st round of pressure bleeding.

Fired up the engine, operated the brake pedal so that I can reset the parking brake mechanism.

No warning lights so that's good.

After pressure testing for several hours, 2nd round of pressure bleeding although probably not required.

It's just my standard procedure so don't want to change.

By the way, with the latest ABS, please start bleeding from the FRONT and at the nearest corner to the master cyl.

This is different from the old textbook method of bleeding from the furthest corner from the master cyl and crisscross after that.

With upgraded ABS on RHD model, you will start from FR corner and then anti-clockwise so in the order of FR - FL - RL - RR.

For LHD model, you would start from FL corner and follow clockwise.

You can still successfully bleed the brake using the old textbook method even with the upgraded ABS but it will take much longer and waste more fluid.

Some of the latest make/model can't even bleed the brake hyd without activating the ABS.

The driveshaft spindle nut torqued to the spec, all suspension bolts torqued under 1G, brake fluid level adjusted to here and not to max line as my standard procedure.

Quick initial test driving, back on the lift for another check and then the final test driving session, raised the speed upto 70mph and cruised for awhile.

It's been a while since last time I had to push myself to this level.

Worked until midnight both Sat and Sun then kept working until 1Hr before meeting the owner.

Didn't have time for the lunch but I'm glad I managed to return the car just in time.

Thank you for using my service and glad to hearing that you enjoyed the driving back to your place.

As in our meeting, you may feel knock off effect of the fresh lip of the new BR piston seal so extra pedal stroke but should settle after several 100s miles.

There is special very abrasive top layer on the new EBC brake pad in order to strip off the old pad material from the existing brake disc.

When this layer is gone, you will notice the changes in brake performance so please be gentle for a while until you get used to the new feeling.

Already started working on another NSX.

Regards,
Kaz
