Rating: 4 votes, 5.00 average.

While waiting for the cooling system to cool down after the compression check, decided to work on the cabin side for a while.

The original main relay off the car.

It’s using the old spec spring loaded type and from WK43 & 50 of 1990!!

There was not just one but a few solder joint cracks at the back so surprised that the owner managed to survive without replacing it until now.

This one will be re-soldered and returned to the owner to be used as an emergency spare.

No doubt our NSX is getting old and thus, some of the chrome plated parts are showing the sign of fatigue.

The owner was suffering from uncomfortable touch every time when operating the parking brake lever.

The chrome on the button has cracked and causing sharp edge.

Instead of going for the original chrome one, we decided to use the black one used on the later model.

The latest-latest one is kind of grey/dark silver one but for the original black centre console, I think the black one suits better.

The chrome and the black one.

In fact, the black one was cheaper than the chrome type.

I should have disabled the camera's flash as it doesn't show the colour difference a lot.....

New one installed and looks bit more modern than the chrome one??

More to follow.

I prefer the chrome one myself, although there is very little chrome on the NSX for continuity I think it adds a bit of quality and sparkle to an otherwise dark cabin (even though it's still just plastic ).

    Obviously, everyone has different taste….

For my NSX, I’m thinking of even going darker.

Would like to replace the A/B-piller, ceiling, sun visors trim to black cloth type...
