Bit behind the schedule but glad that the most time consuming task of replacing just two coolant hoses at the oil cooler is now finished.

Removing the old sealant from the mating thread.

As always, there were many debris/oxidation at the mating surface of both sides so cleaned them.

No time taking photo while dealing with the liquid gasket so just the end result.

New coolant hoses and hose bands installed.

The top hat of the oil cooler showed some rust but still in very good condition.

Not sure why Honda used this design but with LEV model, the hose cramp on one of the big hose under the coolant tank is always difficult to remove.

Quite often, I had to cut the hose off first and then use angled long nose plier to release it.

The secondary air system pipe is just too close to the hose cramp.

As expected, lots of corrosion on the pipe.

Also, looks like this NSX was parked for quite some time.

Inside one of the pipe, there was already some rust built up (marked yellow).

There was also some debris (marked blue) building up but still not hardened so cleaned them.

As seen on many NSX with aftermarket air cleaner element, there were lots and lots of sand like paste inside the intake manifold, VVIS plate, etc.

You don't want sucking these into the engine especially around the valve seating area.

Can't do much without completely disassembling the VVIS so will just do basic cleaning and recommend the owner to go back to OEM filter element .

At the next TB/WP service, please consider cleaning the VVIS by removing the intake manifold.

There was also lots of blowby oil trapped at the bottom chamber.

Nothing unusual though.

Again, the result of too much oil applied to the aftermarket air cleaner element.

Ah….. This is going to take some time cleaning it…..

Probably I need to replace the base idle air adjust screw as well.
