One of the reason for the emergency service.

Just didn't feel right about the brake system.

The parking brake cable was seized at both sides.

The inner pad at the FR side was completely seized inside the carrier bracket that it was not making good contact against the disc.

Normally, with this design of calliper, you would see more wear at the inner pad than the outer one.

Probably it's not easy to see it in the above photos but the wear at FR side was quite different from the FL one.

Not a big problem but with the way the caliper body is mounted against the direction of the disc rotation on our NSX,
the wear warning indicator should be placed at the top side.

At the rear brake, both sides were installed in the wrong orientation.

Front side was fine.

And the reason for the not great braking feeling.

Basically, all of the pistons were not moving smoothly or even seized…..

The grooved section of the dust boot was so rusty and allowed the rust to chew into the piston fairly deep.

Not easy to see in these photos but the issue was already there before someone replaced the brake pad to the aftermarket one.
