Annual Service, Cooling Sys, CL Hyd Sys, etc 04

Was aiming to return this NSX over the weekend but unfortunately, unforeseen issue at the CL hyd pipe fitting where it meets the CL hose
required extra tools and time that I couldn't finish everything in time and thus, decided to change the schedule.

In order to minimise the delay, I even thought about removing the very pipe from my NSX if the parts was available in Europe but
it came back as discontinued and probably only available in Japan.

So, this option was not possible.
Another delay for other owners in the queue but can't do much when it comes to this type of issue.

Updates from last week.

Several rust/corrosion at the coolant pipes but compared to other NSX, this NSX was in much better condition.

Polished them to this level.

Probably the coolant was replaced at correct interval.

Having said this, internal pipe wall showed build-up of corrosion which suggested that the car was parked for a prolonged period.

Also, the coolant hoses were very soft and internal fibre on some of them were already cracking so very good idea to replace them now.

My recommendation is to start planning the cooling sys refresh after 10 years old and you really want to replace them
no later than 15 years old as it's just high risk gamble for pushing any further.

And as mentioned many times, please remember that the radiator is a consumable parts.

Just within the last few months, I know at least 3 owners experienced sudden crack at their radiator......

Centre floor section done.

Front section ready for the new coolant hose installation but while having extra room, replaced the CL master cyl first.

This is the back of the old master cyl.

Quite surprised that it showed such amount of leakage at this low mileage….

Front section done.

Will adjust the control wire for the water valve later.

For now, just manually force it in fully open status.
