The owner already collected the car last week so updating the blog and back date it to 02/Nov so that it will match the Service Log information on the document.

This was how the door panel looked like after removing the door card.

Obviously, someone worked in here in the past and despite the effort of sound deadening, there were so many gaps or even big holes not covered so probably not much benefits.

I don't know whether it was like this immediately after the aftermarket ICE installation or someone worked afterwards and didn't put everything back to how they should be.

The forward section of the white sheet was completely missing allowing the moisture to get in contact with the door card.

Lots and lots of black duct tape used because already the OEM white sticky seal was missing or dried out.

I'm afraid I must remove all of them and clean the panel (really time consuming task…..) before replacing it with fresh butyl tape.

The front sash.

Missing or already damaged the fasteners. Will replace/install my used spares.

For the spec of this NSX, it should have the security red LED light right next to the locking pole/knob at the top surface of the door card.

However, it was removed and the connector for the LED was just placed like this…..

I showed my NSX to the owner on how the LED should look like.

[Edit: 06/Nov/17 This is the photo of my NSX showing the LED light. Also, as a comparison, this is from another NSX showing the standard lock/unlock pole but without the LED.]

The owner told me that at some point, he lost the sound from the right door speaker.

No wonder why it happened.

The wires were pulled away when the window was operated.

The length and the routing of the speaker wires were too close to the window glass stopper.

As you can see, at some point, the cables were pulled away from the speaker resulting in bent terminals…..

Advised the owner on how it should be routed.

Applied temporary fix but to be honest, not worth doing permanent fix until being forced to carry out the window refresh or lost the sound again.

Not sure why the OEM speaker cables were chopped instead of simply de-pin the 250 terminal from the OEM cable and just use the mating plug.
