Finally, the weather and the temperature were better so painted the valve and intake manifold covers.
















Once touch dry, brought them inside the boiler room but my boss was not happy at all……

















TB lower cover installed and torqued each bolts carefully.















I'm not the fan of crank pulley shield design using the TB lower cover bolt.

In my view, with this type of design, it can only be installed when the TB lower cover is new and with the fresh gasket.

You don't want touching the TB lower cover, gasket or even the bolt after they were heat cycled many times.

You could allow oil, moisture, etc into the TB area and you will be surprised what it can do to TB.

In Japan recently, for the first time in my life, I saw TB snapped on NSX engine….

Apparently, it was caused by seeped coolant from the old design WP.

















It's now fully dried and just passing the thread tap to remove any residue.
















Of course, sticky blowby contamination removed from inside.
