Even before taking this NSX to the alignment platform, I knew the alignment service was not done for quite a while as all of the adjuster bolts and nuts were pretty much seized and there was a big pull towards the left.

So, before starting the alignment, just a quick check on the rideheight.

It should be measured at the camber adjuster bolt to the reference plain but good enough to measure the distance from the alignment platform to the wheel arch.

Fronts were almost the same and Rear Right was 10mm lower than the Rear Left which is quite normal for OEM suspension and weight distribution.

Although the Hunter alignment equipment is great, I hate the software especially if I use custom setup and procedure as mentioned in the other post.

I always struggle to print out the final result as it tends to remember the interim data even after we made further adjustment after going through the 1st alignment session.

It will print out correctly if we do the 2nd session as a whole new process but that will involve so much duplicated tasks and not efficient.

Any way, quick check on the SAI which won’t be printed out afterwards (another reason why I don’t like this software) and confirmed that they were close each other between left and right.

It was about +8deg30’ to 40’. The spec is +8deg20’ but SAI will be affected by how you bounce the car before and after the measurement so even during the service, you will get small difference.

So, started from the Rear end.

It is important to align the two arrows at the rear toe link when adjusting the toe.

Aim to set all of the setup between right and left figure within 0deg01’ difference.

As in my previous post, on this NSX, the right caster was completely seized so the most important thing was to match the figure between the right and left.

NSX has huge caster from the factory compared to other production cars.

At the end, the owner was very lucky.

Even using my modified setup (toe, camber, caster) for UK NSX, owner's driving style and purpose of NSX usage, the seized right caster was sitting at 8deg16’ and we managed to adjust the left side to 8deg15’.

After finishing the 1st session, back to the rear alignment and made further fine adjustment and double checked the figure at the front.

Time to print out the outcome and looking at the print preview, we knew it would not print out the final result for the Front so had to write down the figure from the screen.

Now the car bites into the road properly and comfortable to drive as well as turning in and out of the corner.
