It is time consuming and could waste lots of brake fluid if the master cyl was completely dry prior to bleeding process.


Therefore, I prefer bench bleeding the master cyl before the installation.

You need to first pour some fluid in the reservoir and then tap on the cyl body many times from different angle as well as tilting the body in a specific angle.


If you have ever overhauled the master cyl, you will know the exact angle by looking at the tiny fluid holes on the internal cyl wall.


Once done, just set the master cyl on the bench in a specific angle and use pressure bleeder to continue the bench bleeding process until you no longer get tiny bubbles.



Time to bleed the entire brake system on the car.

Again, using the pressure bleeder to efficiently push out the tiny air bubbles.


On the NSX with earlier ABS models, you use the normal procedure of starting from the furthest corner from the master cyl.


For most of the models wiith the latest ABS, you will start from the front corners.


Once the bleeding was done, kept the system under pressure for a few hours to check for any sign of leakge.

Happy with the result and the new cap is back on.

Adjusted the parking brake lever and the car will be kept on the lift over night for further check before putting back the wheels.
