Rollers at R drive shaft inboard joint.
Extra wear markings at the rose joint and even tiny but severe burnt marking on the spider.

It showed blue colour so clearly, the moisture got inside or the grease broke down too far and caused excessive heat.
Fortunately, it was just surface issue and not significant enough to replace the whole joint.

Having said this, all three rollers showed excess marking all around the internal wall.
Very unusual.....

Surprisingly, the worst damage was at the R drive shaft outboard joint despite there was no sign of grease break down, etc.
The colour of the grease was still not perfect but plenty of custard cream yellowish state so very surprised to see this level of damage.
I felt it was more of contamination during the assembly process than pure grease break down.
Significant scuff marking at one of the roller.

However, there was no markings on the internal wall of the rotating ring.

All of the pin bearings were also fine.

Smoothed out the sharp scuff markings and filled the roller with fresh grease.
There was no grinding feeling when rotating this roller so for now, I can re-use it but I recommend regular refurbishment of this joint (like every 30K – 40K miles).

All 12 rollers checked and refurbished.
Ready to re-build the R & L drive shafts.

With so many NSX waiting in the queue for my services, I kept working for months including the weekend but I'm going to take a day off tomorrow to refresh myself.
