Wow, it’s been a while since last time I saw this amount of dust at the A/C CCU cabin temperature sensor.
Imagine the air quality you were breathing while driving…..

I prefer having DIY air filter at the inlet above the blower motor fan.

Although there was no leakage, I didn’t like the dust/contamination around the trans seal.
Will replace it with the new one.

The L drive shaft outer joint.
This is the one splashing so much grease everywhere.

This is going to take some time cleaning before I can even start the preparation for painting.

The roller.
Will open them to check the state of the 10s of pin bearings.

Despite the grease being splashed everywhere, the grease colour still had some hint of yellow custard cream so no damages were observed inside the joint housing.

By the way, being as AT and parked for many weeks, probably it was fine without draining the ATF before removing the L drive shaft but
I didn’t like the dark somewhat contaminated colour so decided to take out as much as possible.

4L removed but I know there were about 1L excess in the gbox at the time when it arrived so will carefully adjust the level several times once I can start the engine.

Will check the magnet at the drain plug later.
