The all important VTEC spool valve.
Couldn't take photo as my fingers were covered in oil but there were so much dark brown sticky oil inside there.

The filter gaskets were already hardened and allowing oil seepage at several places.
Because the engine was not turned over for months in the past, some of the dark brown materials were already bonded to the internal valve body so
glad the owner took my Eng Refresh this time.

Cleaned as much as possible and replacing all of the bolts as well.
Some of them were already corroded at the thread so had to be very careful not to break the bolt.

Installed and Oil Press sender unit was also placed back with the new o-ring.

Due to the strong LED light from the side, didn't realise until now that this photo didn't show how dirty the IAT sensor was.
Hope you can get the idea as it was coated in black thick film with some sort of black bits and pieces all around.

Took some time for cleaning as I didn't want damaging the sensor tip but now it's very clean.
Installed with the new o-ring.

The IG coil covers were covered in brown dust and looked really bad so polished them.

Installed the new rubber gasket.
Will apply silicone grease when placing them back on the engine.
