One of the most important task and the final chance to do so before closing the engine.
It’s creating the oil free mating surface for the valve cover gasket.

After carefully degreasing both sides and applying the liquid gasket at the corner edge of the gasket where it meets the #1 and #4 cam holders, the engine is now closed.

New NTK O2 sensor installed at the rear bank only.
#24172 comes with some sort of ceramic grease already applied from the factory so easy to install.
Please note that the cable length/routing are different depending on the spec of the NSX so please check before placing the order especially if ordering from US.

Although I have another spare NTK sensor, the front one was replaced in the past and easy to replace later so going to re-use the existing one this time.

Alignment of mid cover checked carefully.

Removing the old red sealant from the oil cooler mount.

Finally, the oil cooler related parts are here.
They arrived so late yesterday that I only managed to install the new sensor using the liquid gasket.

Will finish the oil cooler section today and start preparing for the eng/gbox installation back to the bay.

what do you have this entire subframe assembly resting on while you work on the engine?
