The A/C CCU Cabin temperature sensor (aspirator fan).
Quite surprised that it didn’t make that annoying noise at certain angle/temperature with
all these debris built up inside the impeller shaft.

Adjusted the shaft holder position and no more noise.
Should have done it at the first place.

What all these extra wires are …..
Anyway, this is where I install the adaptor loom for the USA Spec PA11-HON.

From the breakout point behind the left side seat to the centre channel here.

You can connect the adaptor loom directly at the back of the head unit but I prefer behind the left side seat so that
if I want to make any changes in the future, it can be done without removing the head unit.

By enlarging the existing hole at the centre arm rest box and creating suitable hole and
the grommet at the aluminium base plate, the controller is now installed.

On my NSX, I installed the Apple device in the upper compartment.

However, I don’t know what kind of device the owner is going to use so for now, I’ll just leave it here.

As mentioned, I’m not an audio guru but to my ears and taste, when OEM Alpine head unit and
the Bose speaker + AMP are operating perfectly, the sound quality is good enough when used with PA11-HON
despite the fact that the source music file is the compressed lower quality.

Quick check of controlling the Apple device through the OEM head unit.

Thank you to member greenberet for suggesting the application of lint free thin filter installed at the front of the sensor.
Never tried on my NSX but sounds good idea in keeping the cabin temperature sensor free from building up the dust/debris resulting in annoying noise and it should not cause air flow/back pressure issue.
One day, would be nice if he can post some photo.

    Thank you for the advice.

I'll take a photo the next time I remove my center console and then post it.

When my aspirator fan started making noise years ago, I replaced it. To prevent the new one from making noise as well as the years rolled by, I put a piece of Kodak lens cleaning paper between the aspirator fan and the center console before screwing the fan in place. That paper is open-pored, breathable, and lint free and seems to be doing its job as a filter quite well.

Last winter I removed my center console and while I was at it, I checked how my still quiet aspirator fan is doing. There was only a light coating of very fine dust on the surface because anything larger gets held up by the lens cleaning paper and can be simply vacuumed away.

I'm not sure how much the Kodak lens cleaning paper restricts flow over the temperature sensor but in any case I didn't notice any difference in the climate control's ability to maintain a temperature.

Thank you for the feedback, greenberet.
Looking forward to seeing the photos some point in the future.

I couldn't find my package of Kodak lens cleaning paper and it turns out, Kodak has stopped selling it. As a replacement, I bought a package of different lens cleaning paper: Chinese JJC CL-T2 lens cleaning tissue. However, it turns out that is made of a different, denser material that is difficult to blow air through. I read that Tiffen is now selling Kodak's old lens cleaning paper under their name now so I bought some of that. The Tiffen paper is just how I remember the old Kodak-brand paper being and is very easy to blow air through.

Here are some pictures I took while installing a fresh piece of Tiffen lens cleaning paper between the aspirator fan and the center console. With the DIY filter in place, the aspirator fan stays quite clean and should hopefully last a lot longer before needing servicing/replacement.

Thank you for the updated info, greenberet.
Very useful. My aspirator fan makes noise from time to time when the temperature changes so I may get this special paper before cleaning the fan again.
