Vacuum leak check of the cooling system.

Since this is the first time using the silicone hose from AS Motorsport,
wanted to keep the system under vacuum for more than 1Hr.

All big/mid size hoses squashed to this level.

While waiting, replaced the Main Relay and the GND cable.

I don’t want to know what this unterminated wire was doing here…. Looked like no short circuit.....
Going to insulate it..... Scary......

Surprisingly, the existing main relay was the original one from the factory.
However, looks like someone tried to re-solder a few joints but not quite…

New Main Relay.
2015 batch
Not sure from when the manufacture changed the soldering method but as mentioned in my blog before,
extra soldering are used at each joints to withstand the fatigue crack.

Installed.
Will re-solder the old one so that it can be used as an emergency spare.

New GND cable.

As mentioned many times, please do not overtighten the cramp.
If you insert the terminal properly and the battery post not damaged yet,
you should stop once you start feeling some force while tightening the nut.

As you can see in the above photo, there should be some gap left at the cramp if done properly.

By the way, next time when replacing the battery, please select the larger capacity one for the AT model.

Happy with the leak check so time to fill the system with Honda Type 2 blue coolant.
