It’s been a while since last time I saw such amount of oil and blowby debris accumulated on the TH body….
Probably never cleaned in the past.

As we are going to drain the coolant any way, I’ll remove the TH body off the engine and clean it thoroughly.

The battery is on battery conditioner during the service.

Speaking of the battery, the existing one is bit too small capacity for the AT model.

The specified one for UK AT model is this.

Having said this, I didn’t have problem starting the engine and also the owner never mentioned of difficulty in firing up the engine so
just keep using the existing battery and when it comes to the time replacing it, just go for the proper AT OEM spec one.

It’s not the first time but really struggled removing the pin at the parking brake cable.

The rust on the pin was so much that it just didn’t want to come out despite soaking it with acetone-ATF mixture overnight.
Eventually, managed to remove it but lost precious time sending the calipers to Bigg Red for premier coating.

As this NSX came from Japan, I was hoping that the brake calipers were well serviced in the past.

While there were some signs of services, I’m afraid they were neglected and so much rust managed to
penetrate into the piston bore.

Even the parking brake mechanism was so rusty.

Couldn't adjust the white balance well to show how severe the rust is in the above photos but
with this level, best sending them to Bigg Red for chemical treatment.

3 out of 4 bleeders were heavily corroded.
