Started servicing another NSX from last week.
The service menu is to refresh the Brake and Cooling system, Health Check, JDM Cruise Control limiter cut, Audio system refresh, etc.

This is another NSX that I never serviced before so started with the Health Check first.

On arrival, I pointed out to the owner that despite having the OEM 16/17 wheels, the wheel nut didn’t look like the OEM one.
By the way, interesting wheel surface finish.
Must be the Acura spec polished one.
Shiny.....

And yes indeed, they were the wrong spec (conical/tapered) including the locking nut.

For Honda OEM wheels, one should use the spherical/ball type.
Ordered new 20 set from Japan as it’s cheaper than ordering one each separately.

In front of the owner, I demonstrated that I can disarm his security/immobiliser despite the fact that
I have never serviced this NSX before and also how I can create another Main IG key without
even having the actual key with me so once again, please do not post any photos showing the actual main key or
even worse, the red key on the public forum.

If I can do it, I’m quite sure someone else can do the same.

While checking the light bulbs, I noticed that at the Right side tail light, the middle small light was intermittent.
This NSX is JDM so 3 lights per side.

Opened the boot and immediately smelt the dampness.

The owner told me that from time to time, he got condensation inside the tail light assy.

No surprise because when I removed the light bulb, I noticed the trace of moisture on the bulb lens and also
corrosion markings were left on the bulb body as well as on the socket.

Polished the contact, GND socket and bulb body, applied thin coat of silicone grease but really,
it’s best if we can stop the moisture from entering the boot.

I found that the centre tail light panel was rattling.
It also looked like the entire tail light assy were removed in the past and
possibly the gaskets were never replaced resulting in moisture getting inside the boot.

The stud bolt for the centre panel didn’t move while rattling the panel itself so
I’m afraid, it looks like someone over tightened it and pulled out some of the stud bolts…..

Where is the boot light???

Found it.
It was tacked away neatly behind the power ANT.
