It was nice meeting some of you today at Japfest.

As I had several higher priority projects, I was not sure whether I can attend the event or not until the very last moment so only managed to wash the car and treat the seat leather the day before the event.

It seems that Liquid Leather is one of the most preferred products to treat the leather but I have never used it.

There are several feedbacks on this within NSXCB site and I included the one from the member ‘PeteM’ in my ‘NSX Technical and Service Information Index’ thread under ‘Technical’ section of this site.

For 17 years, I have been using the ordinary body moisturiser to treat my leather seat.

I just apply it using my hand, leave it for a while and then gently wipe the entire cabin down with soft cloth to remove any excess.

I don’t know whether this is OK or not and I don’t know whether it is cost effective compared to the Liquid Leather or not but for me, it worked fine since Day 1.

For any scuff mark, I just mix the black shoe cream into the moisturiser and since shoe cream contains the wax, I only apply it to the scuffed area and wipe if off immediately to avoid shiny finish.

For the last few years, we always brought our lunch box when attending the Japfest but for this year, as it was the last minute call, we couldn’t prepare anything.

So, went to the village to get some lunch at the nearby Manor House.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed due to the wedding reception so walked down to the small hotel restaurant from there.

Lovely food and very pretty village.

The weather was also very kind to us so really enjoyed the day.

As I arrived quite late, I only managed to catch up with limited number of owners so I hope I can find more time with the owners at the next event which will be the Silverstone Classic for me.

I sent the ‘thank you’ email to our member ‘Chris B N’ for his superb contribution in organising us for this event and every year, the layout of the club display seems to get better and better under the ‘supervision’ of our member ‘Papalazarou’.

Didn’t see any of the track event and also missed the opportunity to visit Silver Surfer’s display at the sponsored vendor site so will try to arrive earlier next year.

After the event, went to the Japanese restaurant located in the Manor House in Swindon owned by Honda so it was really full of Japanese car event day for me.
