    Dear Kaz,

Is self adhesive Stormguard extra thick rubber foam what you used as a seal between the blower assembly and the front firewall? The OEM foam on my blower assembly is disintegrating as well so I should replace mine, too.

    Hi, greenberet.
If you want permanent installation, you are better off with EPDM material.
That’s what I used for the heater unit.
You just need to be careful with the thickness because EPDM has much higher density than the Stormguard tape so it won’t compress as much.

For the blower motor, I didn’t know how long the Stormguard product would survive especially the adhesive so for the area you mentioned, I used the 'Jumbo' one with about 20mm width and about 11mm thickness.
The 'Extra thick' one in your link is about 13mm width with 8mm thickness so should be fine.

Blower motor can be removed fairly easily so it's a good place to test unknown products under hot, cold environment.
