Normally, I don’t have to remove the eng loom in order to carry out brief cleaning prior to removing the valve cover but for the rear bank, I was just not comfortable removing it with so much debris and leaked oil attracting so much dust/debris around the cyl head.

Just cleaned one section to show the original colour…. Should be silver….

Removed INJ connectors and cleaned to this level….
What a time consuming preparation just for removing the valve cover.

Another black blowby contaminated eng oil everywhere…..

I'm not going to adjust the valve clearance as the compression data was not too bad and there is not much point with this very dirty engine.
Must remove all four camshafts, wash all parts, replace classic LMA, etc and do it properly ideally with the engine out of the bay.

Hope the owner will consider my Eng Refresh at the time of next TB/WP services as I would love to take the eng/gbox out of the eng bay, wash it inside out and do proper services….
Although my service is not everyone's cup of tea…..

No idea why someone had to use so much liquid gasket behind the valve cover gasket and once again, the parts were not installed properly…

At least, both the front and the rear cam timings were correct so something was done properly….

I don't know how much the owner paid for the previous service(s) but feel sorry for him….

This coolant hose was about to explode.
I couldn’t even shift the hose band that had to move it the other way round.
