Cooling Sys, Health Check, etc 01

Started to work on another NSX from last week.
Originally, the service menu was mainly just replacing all 25 coolant hoses (it's AT model so extra hoses required for the ATF cooler) but even before placing the car on the lift, I knew it would require extra services…..

Most of the bolts and nuts at the valve covers (both front and rear banks) were finger tight and not compressing the rubber/metal washers.
If you have ever worked on the valve cover gasket, you would know this rubber/metal washer should be squashed/flattened much further.

Some of the IG coil cover bolts were not even seated or got loosen with the vibration and already gone.....

The valve covers were not aligned properly against the TB mid covers and the gaskets were being caught in between that it was causing massive oil seepage (I would say leakage in this case) every time when the engine was started.

Because of the super low annual mileage, the owner didn't notice these issues….

The total mileage is really low for this year model yet when I placed the car on the lift, the amount of oil, etc under the engine was just nothing like a low mileage NSX….

Because of these, I decided not to carry out the test driving session until I first carry out the Health Check and then at least take the Eng compression despite the owner managed to get this NSX to my place.
