It was not included in the service menu but after looking at the state of the TH body, decided to clean the IAT sensor and I’m glad I made the decision.

Not easy to take good digital photo but the sensor body was covered in thick black sticky gunk with lots of oil on it.

Cleaned and installed it with the new o-ring.






This is how the TH body should look like.

Idle air port and the plenum chamber are in much better condition.




As the owner was not using the unsuitable battery kill terminal, decided to remove it and simply install the OEM GND cable.

As mentioned many times, please do not over-tighten the cramp.
You should see fair amount of gap at the cramp as above and this is where you should stop tightening. Otherwise, you are going to damage not only the cramp but also the battery terminal post.




By now, the battery was already in conditioning mode.....






I was bit concerned about the very old trace of tiny coolant leakage from the left bottom side of the radiator but no leakage detected even after 1Hr of vacuum leak check.
Vacuum fed the Honda Type 2 coolant.




Quick fireup after the initial air bleeding process followed by proper fireup until the rad fan kicks in.
